searching - chapter one

'searching' is a film-driven mock up of the beginning of an ambitious digital project - a story about communication, which charts the problems in the relationship of Clive & Kate.
'searching' will embrace reader interactivity and this cinematic piece follows an intricate, non-linear plot. This excerpt, which is very much a work-in-progress still, is part one, mostly from Clive's point of view.

Short pieces

And some pieces are ‘shorts’, almost like tv ads –

SKIN

Skin is a piece based on a series of short interviews with women, and real quotes taken from media, on how women feel about their bodies. A child's voice is used to suggest the young age at which body dysmorphia begins in our celebrity obsessed world.

Staying Single launch

Staying Single is a pilot to see whether readers will embrace the concept of literature through the internet.

Initially written as my 4th novel, I have now begun adapting Staying Single for an online community.

Staying Single is a story of a woman, Sophie Regan, who is tired of being continually dumped, and decides that she will remain single for an entire year.

This online version of Staying Single will give the reader many options -
-- to read the story in instalments via the Staying Single blog which will be updated regularly, and which will give links to additional background information regarding the storyline,
-- to subscribe to an email list, which will deliver each new instalment of the story direct to your mailbox,
-- to listen or to download a podcast of the story.
-- the story blog will be laced with mini video clips of public opinion at crucial dilemmas in Sophie's story and comments on the blog will be welcomed.

Right click this link, and select 'open in new window' to view an example of the Staying Single blog, which will then lead you to all reading options -

Please feel free to post comments - the purpose of this project is to gather a comprehensive collection of opinions from both readers, and writers.
